Betty Sue Bortz of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018, at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Norman Bortz; cherished daughter of the late August and Hazel Pace; devoted mother of Susan (Mike) Wormington, Gary (Ann) Bortz, Walter “Buddy” (Kathy) Bortz, Bradley (Kaylyn) Bortz, and Carol (Ross) Stromberg; loving grandmother of 8; treasured great-grandmother of 6; and dear sister of the late Donald (Patricia) Pace.

Betty Sue was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She dedicated her life to caring for her children, and was known for her excellent cooking, especially her Hot Water Bread. She was a longtime member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed spending her free moments creating arts and crafts. Betty Sue was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
