Virginia C. Sale Kidd, 98 passed away Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018.
She was the former Virginia Crutcher and was born on April 2, 1919 in Muldraugh, KY. She was the youngest daughter of George R. Crutcher and Agness (Streible) Crutcher.
Virginia moved to Louisville at age 7 and at age 22 she married William B. Sale and had one son William E. Sale (Mary Cormier). In 1954, she married Otis Kidd who died in June 2000, she played in an all girl western band locally and in Tennessee, managed restaurants, Bernheim Distillery employee, and worked as a security guard until retirement in 1985.
She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
Other survivors include two grandchildren William Ernie Sale (Valerie) and Julie M. Pate (Greg Claycomb), great granddaughter Kabrel Wood (Jarod), great grandson Devin J. Sale, and great great grandchildren Kyran Basham and Lilly Jane Woods.
Funeral service 11 AM Friday, Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd., with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens. Visitation 3 to 8 PM Thursday.
