She was born in Parkersburg, W. Va., and lived in Akron, Ohio, most of her life. She was a member of the Free Gospel Church.
Preceded in death by husband, Rev. Coy Simmons, she is survived by daughter, Sher-wanna Simmons of Akron; son, Duane (Sharon) Simmons of Akron; daughter, Charlene (Tom) Bartlett of Akron; three great-grandchildren, Tina (Harry) Oshell, David Simmons, James Simmons; one great-grandchild, Mackenzie Oshell, all of Akron.
Funeral services will be Friday, 12 NOON, at Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd., with Pastor George Riffle officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
