Sr. M. Laurena, of the Order of St. Joseph, died at Chestnut Hill Convent on Thursday night. She entered the Order 43 years ago from Our Mother of Sorrows Parish, West Philadelphia.
A daughter of the late M. F. and Anne Hayburn, Sr. M. Laurena served at Epiphany Parochial School in South Philadelphia, the Catholic Home for Destitute Girls, 29th and Allegheny, at St. Joseph's Academy, McSherrystown, and at St. John's Day Nursery.
Funeral services will be held at the Convent.
