Vivian was 92 years old.
Vivian was the widow of George Joseph Jolly [1887-1939] whom she married on Aug. 24, 1932 in Harrisville, Rhode Island. Witnesses were Claudia Hitis and Amos J. Jolly.

She was the daughter of Alfred "Fred" Napoleon Dennis [1889-1945] and Eva M.L. Dubour [1896-1969].
Born in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield, MA. She was baptized at the former St. Aloysius Church in Indian Orchard, MA

She attended the French school at St. Aloysius.
She graduated from the High School of Commerce 1931-1932.
She worked for WPA factory (sewing) during the time her grandfather Simon Dennis died in 1936. Vivian worked at Belmont Laundry on Belmont Ave. Springfield until she retired as manager of the front desk.

SPRINGFIELD - Vivian Leona (Dennis) Jolly, 92, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center. Born in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield and a life long city resident, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Eva (Dubour) Dennis. Vivian was retired from Belmont Laundry of Springfield, where she had been their general manager for many years. During World War II, she was employed at the former Springfield Armory. Vivian was a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. She is survived by a son, George A. Jolly, Sr., and his wife, Mary of Springfield; (11) grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren as well as many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, George J. Jolly in 1939. Vivian's funeral will be Wednesday morning from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 9 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Springfield, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Springfield. Calling hours are Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions in Vivian's memory may be made to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 51 Rosewell Street, Springfield, MA 01109.
