July 20, 1936 - January 13, 2018 Jack G. Adams, 81, husband of Patricia Cottrell Adams, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at his home. He was born July 20, 1936 in Owen County, Kentucky to the late Loraine and Anna B. Neal Adams. He was a member of Northside Christian Church, also a former deacon and board member of the church. Jack was a former employee of Electric Parts, and Standard Products in Lexington, and later worked part time at Cardome overseeing the events there. He enjoyed playing golf in his spare time.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Donna Sue Adams of Georgetown, Kentucky, brothers, Travis (Linda) Adams of Cynthiana, Kentucky, and Dennis Adams of Versailles, Kentucky, several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Greg Adams. Jack was preceded in death by a daughter, Jill Adams, and two brothers, Lloyd and Frank Adams.
Visitation will be 12:00 - 2:00 pm, Thursday, at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home til service time at 2:00 pm. Minister Tommy Simpson and Minister Nic Skinner will officiate the service. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Gordon Wright, Wayne Robey, Randy LeMaster, Joe Lewis, Rodney Dunn, Danny Sageser. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Barkley, Robert McGee, R. C. Giles, Terry Willhoite, Kevin Rice, Bob Cooke, Gayle Tackett, Charles Stewart, Paul Abner, Sherman Wallin, and Dr. Kelly Burgess.
