AULANDER Mr. Allen Trent Ambrose, age 53, of Aulander, NC, died Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Pitt Memorial Hospital, in Greenville, NC. Mr. Ambrose was born Nov. 24, 1953 in Bertie County, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Ambrose, his brother, Billy Ambrose and a daughter, Leslie Ann Ambrose. He was a member of Connaritsa Baptist Church and was employed at Jernigan Oil Co. Survivors include his wife, Linda Mills Ambrose; his daughter, Gwen Hughson and her husband, Jamie of Colerain, NC; his mother, Sybil Ambrose of Aulander; his sister, Gail Ambrose and his brothers, Carlton "Zip" Ambrose and his wife, Theresa, Kenny Ray Ambrose and his wife, LuAnn, Brad Ambrose and his wife, Carla, all of Aulander, NC; two grandchildren, Emma and Ethan Hughson. Also his nephews, Derek Ambrose, Brandon Ambrose and a niece, Joann Earley. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Connaritsa Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Thompson and Rev. Roger Leggett officiating. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor, NC. The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander, NC, Tuesday, from 7 until 9 p.m. and other times at the home. Flowers are welcome, however those wishing to make a memorial contribution, may make one to Connaritsa Baptist Church, Aulander, NC 27805.
