BILLY SPENCE DAVIS, 74, of Memphis, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2007 at Methodist University Hospital. A retiree of Kimberly-Clark Corporation, he devoted three decades of service to the North Memphis plant. A member of the Tech High School Class of 1952, Mr. Davis enjoyed reuniting with his classmates at their regular monthly gatherings. He enjoyed visiting with his friends and neighbors at Lewis Senior Citizens Center where he was a member. Although offered scholarships to play college football, he chose to serve his country in the U.S. Army. The beloved son of the late Opal Holder, he is survived by his three children, Robyn Davis Birch and Randy Spence Davis of Memphis and Ryan Scott Davis of Jackson, TN; and his former wife, Sherril K. Davis of Memphis; four grandchildren, Joseph and Matthew Birch of Memphis and Chloe and Cassie Davis of Jackson, TN; a sister, Shirley Laverne Williams of Memphis; and a host of nieces and nephews, Cindy Williams and Roy Williams of Memphis, Terry Ingram of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Vickie Kincheloe of Jacksonville, FL. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 29 from 6-8 p.m. with funeral services taking place on Friday, March 30 at 2 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home followed by burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
