Lyle "Tom" Thomas Wisner, age 88 of Greenup, Illinois passed away at 10:05 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at his residence.
Tom was born September 17, 1918 in Spring Point Twp. Cumberland Co., Illinois
the son of Rollie and Dollie Hall Wisner. He married Mary Plummer on March 27,
1938.
Tom retired from Fedders in Effingham; he had worked on the railroad and
farmed. He was a member of the Woodbury United Methodist Church and Camper's
Club. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of almost 69 years, Mary Wisner of Greenup;
son, Donald (wife, Barbara) Wisner of Mattoon; daughter, Loretta (husband,
Russell) Wallace of Montrose; son-in-law, Ron Hoyt of Springfield; sister,
Dorsa Corn of California; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2
step-great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shirley Hoyt; son, Ivan Lee
Wisner; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.
