Gayle was born to Jack Salias & Cathryn L (Kelly) Johnson. When Gayle was a teenager, she had a great talent of sewing and making her own dress patterns which lead to a 40 year career in custom drapery for homes and businesses. She was an expert in design and décor and had a way of blending your taste into her talents as she loved making each customer a personal friend. Her custom work left many satisfied customers.
Gayle is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Mr. Ansley Cotton of Prattville, Alabama; daughter, Mary Cathryn Funderburk (Todd) of Prattville, Alabama; son, Anthony Wayne Cotton of Holtville, Alabama; grandchildren, Tabatha Anne Locker McNutt of Daytona Beach, Florida, Dalton Funderburk of Prattville, Alabama, Codey Cotton, Devin Cotton, Hayden Cotton and T.J. Cotton, all of Holtville, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Payton McNutt and Aubrey McNutt, both of Daytona Beach, Florida and her brothers, Tim Johnson (Melody) of Mobile, Alabama and David Salias (Rhonda) of Maryville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Prattmont Baptist Church, 814 Smith Avenue, Prattville, Alabama 36067 in her memory. She loved flowers but loved the Lord and her church more.
