Pedro was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel R. González. Sgt. Pedro is survived by his sons, Pete A. González Jr. and his wife, Inga and Bobby Márquez and his wife, Maria, sister, Carmen Cover, grandchildren, Kristopher González and his wife, Crystal, Dr. Rodger Battani, Sgt. FC Gary Saavedra and Eric Saavedra and his wife, Elisa, great-grandchildren, Sophieangel Battani, Evan Saavedra, Cierra Saavedra and Miranda Saavedra.
Sgt. Pedro served in the United States Army Air Force from July 16, 1940 until May 29, 1946. Sgt. Pedro is a prisoner of war survivor and also a Bataan Death March survivor. Pedro retired with 35 years total government service from The Department of Defense.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 3424 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
