Born in Marlboro County she was a daughter of the late Peter and Alice Ivey Brigman.
Surviving are her husband of Bennettsville a son Bobby Herndon of Macon Ga a daughter Mrs Diane Woodham of Bennettsville; four brothers Peter Brigman of New Jersey, Marvin and Burdine Brigman of Bennettsville; two sisters Mrs Sara Bibee of Wichita Kan and Mrs Ettie Bittle of McColl.
