B. D. Noxon Dead, Native Syracusan
B. Davis Noxon, native of Syracuse and a son of the late James and Sarah Wright Noxon of this city, died Nov. 17 in Tampa, Fla., after a long period of failing health, according to word received here yesterday. He was 80 years old.
Mr. Noxon was born Aug. 23, 1867, and was named for his grandfather, the late Judge B. Davis Noxon. During his earlier life he was engaged in several theatrical enterprises, but eventually he settled in Tampa where he made his home for more than 30 years.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. George Portman of Greenfield, Mass., and Mrs. Leslie A. Nichols of Yakima, Wash. Private funeral services and burial were in Tampa.
