ASHEBORO - Virginia Adrienne Huff Auler, 94, went to see Jesus on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Hospice in Asheboro, N.C.

Virginia was born Sept. 28, 1922, in Memphis, Tenn., and was raised in College Park, Ga. She graduated from Mitchell Academy as Salutatorian. Virginia got her associates degree from Tift College (now Mercer University). She married Harold Nicholas Auler Jr. in 1943. In October of 1946, they went to the mission field of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, where they raised four children. Harold was director of a Christian high school and Virginia was an art teacher at the school in the later years on the mission field. They were 20 years in Honduras.

Virginia wore many hats as a preacher's wife and also had worked as a religious education teacher and an interpreter for Troy Health Department. She had been a resident in Randolph County since 1979. She authored the book "Break Down Every Idol," spoke at many conferences, sculptured and painted. She also was an English and Spanish teacher, ceramist and pianist. Above everything, she loved to tell people about Jesus in English and Spanish and spent hours every day praying for others around the world. She was a member of Spoons Chapel Christian Church and loved her church family. Everyone who knew her knew her as GeeGee, a grandmother to all. She will be so greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Virginia was preceded in death by husband, Harold Nicholas Auler Jr.

Surviving family members are daughter, Margaret Lee Auler Smith; son, David LeRoy Auler and wife Sandy; granddaughter, Lisa Auler Coulter and husband Jay and their children Morgan and Jack; grandson, Brett Auler and wife Laura and their sons Elijah, Gage and Max; son, John Harold Auler and wife Karen; granddaughter, Sarah Auler; grandson, Jeremy Auler and wife Carrie and their children Natalie, Madielyn, Caitlin, Ryland, Anna, Leighton, Carsten and Lovie; grandson, Micah Auler and wife Julie and their daughter Erin; granddaughter, Elizabeth Auler Jung and husband Eric and their son Judah; granddaughter, Anna Auler Fetterhoff and husband Isaac and their daughter Avonlea; grandson, Nate Auler and wife Amanda; and daughter, Elizabeth Ann Auler Williams and husband Steve.

Virginia fought the good fight, finished the race and kept her faith. She worked her whole life to hear the words, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
