A native of Palestine, Mr. Pennybacker was a graduate of Palestine High School in 1922. He attended the University of Texas and was a veteran of World War II. He had been in the oil business for a number of years and was a member of First Methodist Church. He had been a resident of Hearne for the past few years.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Miss Paula Pennybacker, a student at Texas Tech in Lubbock; one stepdaughter, Mrs. L. G. Gray of Mission; two brothers, C. D. Pennybacker of Palestine and G. O. Pennybacker of Dallas; one sister, Mrs. John H. Wynne of Houston.
