Gary Dale Jennings, age 62, of Clearfield, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018, at his home.

Born August 30, 1955, in Morehead, Gary was the son of the late Nelson and Christine Kidd Jennings.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Ann Howard Jennings, whom he wed March 12, 1988; one son, Jesse Dale Jennings of Clearfield; and two daughters, Danielle Jennings of Louisville and Tessa Jennings of Clearfield.

Other survivors include one sister, Rhonda Jean Peavler and husband John of Harrodsburg; two nephews, Jamie DeHart and Brent DeHart, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.

Gary graduated from Rowan County High School and earned an Associate’s Degree from Morehead State University. Gary was the founder of Jennings Portable Toilets, the former owner of Jennings Septic Service, and a former employee of Browning Mfg. He retired from the Morehead Utility Plant Board in 2012. Currently, he was the owner of Jennings Rental, served as an assistant coach for RCSHS softball and assisted RCSHS football as a chain crew member. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, attending car shows; loved sports, especially the University of Kentucky Wildcats; and spending time with family and friends, especially his black lab “Buster.” Gary will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Gary Madden and Brother Herbert D. Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Thornsberry Cemetery in Blairs Mill.

Pallbearers: Teddy Wright, Johnny Holbrook, Pat Crum, Chuck Davis, Jamie DeHart, Brent DeHart, and Marty Jennings. Honorary Pallbearers: Bobby Cropper, Doug Vanderpool, Gary Hunt, Charles Graham, Larry Slone, Kelly Ford, Lloyd Jennings, Terrell Fugate, John High, Morris Williams, and Joe Payne .

Visitation is 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
