Miss Lou was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Frances Sipes, and a native of Tennessee. She was a member of the Methodist Church and taught school in Arkansas for a number of years.

She was married to Mr. Attaway and resided in Oklahoma until his death, since that time she made her home with her sister, Mrs. Hattie Cowger, in Danville. She was survived by two sisters, Mrs. Cowger and Mrs. Jennie Crosby of Danville
