He was born Oct. 14, 1919, in Versaille, Ill. In 1939, he married Dorothy Frank in Littleton.
He was a shipman's mate first class in the Navy during World War II and he worked for C&F Trucking Co. for 41 years. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, St. Joan of Arc Senior Citizens Club and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Harold Jr., Arvada; two daughters, Sharon Guthrey, Collierville, Tenn., and Pamela Taddonio, Arvada; a brother, Lloyd Hayhurst, Sun City, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
