Funeral services for Elias Burciaga, 100, of Rosenberg, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. The Rev. Roberto Estrada will officiate the services. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, with a prayer service to be held at 7 p.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg.
Elias was born July 20, 1904 in San Pedro De Las Colonias Visco, Mexico to Jose Burciaga and Micaela Jimenez Burciaga. He passed away Sept. 21, 2004 in Rosenberg.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Maria Luisa Burciaga; his second wife, Florence Burciaga; a son, Rosendo Huerta; and his parents, Jose and Micaela Burciaga.
Elias is survived by children, Maria Luisa Burciaga of Rosenberg, Raymond Burciaga and wife, Mary, of Richmond, Esther Vasquez and husband, Joe, of Richmond, Richard Burciaga of Rosenberg, Juan Burciaga and wife, Isabel, of Rosenberg, and Dora Perez and husband, Wallace, of Richmond; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; also, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Vincent Burciaga, Stevan Conrad Nevarez, Albert Burciaga, Raymond Burciaga, Ruben Vasquez, and Joe Louis Vasquez.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. in Rosenberg. 281-341-8800.
