Mother of H. E. Schultz Dies at Arlington, Minn.

Mrs. Augusta Wagner, mother of Herman Schultz of Vail township, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs Alvina Beseke of Arlington, Minn., on Wednesday, May 4th at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 14 days.

Deceased was born in West Prussia, Germany, February 20, 1845. She was united in marriage to Mr. Fred Kuntz in the Fatherland. Her husband was drafted for service in the German war of 1866 and passed away while in the service. A few years later Mrs. Kuntz was married to Mr. John Schultz and they came to the United States in 1868, settling at Glencoe, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Schultz were the parents of thirteen children, eight boys and five girls. Two of these died in infancy and five passed away some years later. Those living are: Herman Schultz of Wabasso, Ed and John Schultz of North Dakota, Mrs. Edith Abraham of Arco, Mrs. Emma Lehman of Belview and Mrs. Alvina Beseke of Arlington.

Mr. Schultz passed away in 1895 and a few years later Mrs. Schultz was married to Mr. Wm Wagner. They made their home at Lamberton where Mr. Wagner passed away in 1912. Since that time Mrs. Wagner had been living with her children, spending most of her time with her daughter at Arlington.

Mrs. Wagner was a devout member of the Evangelical church. The funeral was held from the local Evangelical last Saturday afternoon at 1:30, Rev. George F. Kirgiss, officiating. Interment was made in the New Avon cemetery,
