Rozella Elnora Burgin Martin, 90, of Panhandle passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018 in Panhandle.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Groom, Texas. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Schooler Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.

Rozella was born on November 7, 1927 in Groom to Frank and Neva Burgin. Rozella was always considered to be a hard-working, loving and supportive wife and mother. She was considered by many a great mentor and teacher. She led by example in everything she did. She was always organized and her house was spotless. Rozella took great pride in her yard and her gardening. She was also a wonderful cook and an excellent seamstress. Rozella was truly a very loving and caring person to all. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Martin; her parents; two brothers, Melvin Burgin and Bill Burgin; one sister, Lavera Bridges; her son-in-law, Lynn Quirk; and one great-grandson, Tripp Pingelton.

Rozella is survived by two daughters, Becky Pingelton and husband Ron of Alva, OK, and Sheila Quirk of Hereford; one son, James Martin and wife Janet of Panhandle; four grandchildren, Keri Bruce of Stillwater, OK, Kevin Pingelton and wife Brooke of Alva, OK, Karmen Buck and husband Jeremy of Pampa, and Ky Martin and wife Emily of Rockwall; and nine great-grandchildren, Dayne and Tucker Bruce of Stillwater, OK, Karsen and Jude Buck of Pampa, Gunner and Coy Pingelton of Alva, OK, and Jackson, Eden and Anna Jane Martin of Rockwall.
