Susan Clark Luttrell of Ridgeland, MS, passed away on January 3, 2018. Susan served as a Minister of Music with the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board and also as an educator with Magnolia Speech School, Jackson APAC, and Wesley College. Susan served First Baptist Coffeeville (Coffeeville), Center Hill Baptist Church (Hamilton), Paul Truitt (Pearl), Oakdale Baptist (Brandon), Dry Creek Baptist (Brandon) and Wynndale Baptist (Terry). She also served as interim Minister of Music in various churches across Mississippi during her 38 years of ministry. Many will remember Susan for her ministry with the Mississippi Baptist All State Youth Choir and Orchestra and also HeartSong:A Music & Worship Arts Camp, music programs offered by the Church Music Department, Mississippi Baptist Convention Board. The All State Choir & Orchestra is in its 26th year of ministry and HeartSong has been offered for over 30 years; both providing a platform to equip and grow students musically in their gifts and talents as they explore ways to worship the Lord Jesus Christ. Susan's love and passion for music, students, and the gospel will continue on through the hundreds of lives touched through her ministry. Susan is survived by her husband Turner, brother Brian L. Clark (Lynn) of Madison, nephew Benjamin Clark (Kitton) of San Fransisco, niece Anna Clark Eason (Nolan), great niece Lynley Kate Eason, of Southaven, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents Julian Clark and Mildred Slay Clark of Jackson.
