Fertile—Mrs. Anna M. Eikenbary, 86, died Friday at a nursing home in Mason City.
Born March 14, 1883, at Fertile, she was the daughter of Halvor and Ingeborg Dakken Ouverson. She was married to Charles E. Eikenbary Sept. 2, 1905. He was the postmaster at Fertile until he died in 1947. Mrs. Eikenbary then became postmaster until she retired in 1959.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Vada) M. Shook, Kagoshima City, Japan; a brother, the Rev. Oscar Ouverson, Camanche, Iowa; four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, two sons, two grandchildren, three sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Olson Funeral Home in Forest City. The Revs. Charles Curtis of Calvary Baptist Church, Forest City, and Kurt Marquardt of Grace Baptist Church in Mason City, will officiate. Burial will be in Grant Center Cemetery near Fertile.
