Maurice Wilbur Annear Jr., son of Maurice Wilbur Annear and Mary Isabell Springer Annear, was born November 9, 1934 in Perry, Iowa.

He died December 16, 2016 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Maurice grew up in Perry and was a good football player.

On her birthday May 29, 1952 Maurice and Roberta Jean Dorman were united in marriage. The couple was blessed with three sons David, Ronald and Joel.

Maurice did road construction in various areas. In 1959 they moved to Adel. Maurice and Roberta started Annear Equipment Incorporated in 1982. They worked side by side until her death in 2000.

In earlier years they traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada.

In 2012 Maurice retired and went to Adel Acres to lived. He enjoyed figure 8 races and had many trophies.

Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, wife Roberta, sisters Mary Stickel (Larry) and Lucille Rowe, and brothers Ralph Annear (Twyla) and Eugene Annear.

Maurice is survived by his sons David (Shirley), Ronald (Marina), Joel (Connie); grandchildren Zarabeth (Ryan), Yvette (Manuel), Zaavan (Megan), Azariah, Shawn, Kristy, and Melissa (Rick); great-grandchildren: Cole, Broc, Joel "Howie", Jackson, Judd, Electra, Chloe, Cecelia, Henry, Braxton, Naomi and Justin; other relatives and friends.

Hastings Funeral Home in Perry is in charge of arrangements. Services are pending at this time.
