George W. Groves, 70, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 1938 at his home in Waverly of a heart attack. He had been a resident of the county all his life and had resided in Waverly the past 62 years. He was married to Miss Minnie Walton of Waverly in 1898.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Richard Bricken of Waverly, Mrs. Russell Wheeler of Flushing, New York, and Miss Geraldine Groves of the home.
The funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at the home. Burial was in the Waverly Cemetery.
