Shirley Brantley Lovett, age 92, of East Dublin, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017.
Shirley was born November 8, 1925 in Laurens County to the late Grady and Evie Curl Brantley. She was a member of Brewton Baptist Church. She retired from Veterans Administration where she worked in Occupational Therapy. Shirley loved life, especially times spent with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, Granny, Great-granny, sister, aunt and friend.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the father of her children, Buddy Hester; husband Delmas Lovett; sisters, Eva Perry, Faye Brantley and Agnes Knight, and brothers James Brantley, Charles Brantley, W.G. Brantley and Jerry Brantley.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
