She was born in New York City, NY and as a child came to the Syracuse area. Mary attended Most Holy Rosary High School graduating in 1953. She furthered her education returning to NYC obtaining her Associates degree from Katherine Gibbs College. In 1958 she married her high school sweetheart William G. Timmons, a blessed union of 42 years. Mary's main focus in life was her family. She was a devoted mother who stayed home raising her children. She then went to work as an Office Manager with McDonough Law office in Syracuse. Mary was very proud of her Irish heritage and was very active in the Bayberry community. She volunteered and was very involved in youth sports, Meals on Wheels and St. Joseph's Hospital. Mary was a parishioner of Christ the King Church in Liverpool.
She is predeceased by her husband William G. Timmons in 2000.
Surviving to cherish her memory are two sons, Michael J. (Jeanette) Timmons of Princeton, NJ, William P. (Melissa) Timmons of Baldwinsville, three daughters, Cathy (Jeffrey) Hobb of Chittenango, NY, Patricia (John) Simms of Camillus, Anne (Thomas) Squires of Clinton, NY, 12 grandchildren, one great-grandson, three nieces and a nephew.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31 Baldwinsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 am in Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
