Obit James STONEMAN March 9, 1887,
Deceased was one of the old citizens of this vicinity, In recent years he followed teaming for a livelihood, and as he was a great lover of horses this occupation suited his tastes very much.
He enlisted in the first company that left Carroll County for the front,in 1861, and re-enlisted at the expiration of his term, serving until the close of the war.
He was taken ill, Thursday, last, with a severe cold which developed into typhoid pneumonia, from which he suffered very much.
He was a member of the G.A.R and his death reduces the "roll-call" one more member. Funeral today at 2 PM
