Sarah Hicks Bull, 87, of Amarillo, died Saturday, December 30, 2017. Sarah was born January 17, 1930 in Muldrow, Okla. to William and Anna Mae Chisum.

She graduated from high school in Danville, Ark. She earned her degree as a registered nurse at Sparks Memorial Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark. in 1950. She married W.E. "Bill" Hicks on July 1, 1950 in Lovington, NM. Sarah worked as an RN at North Plains Hospital, and also at Phillips 66 Industrial Medical Clinic at the Phillips plant in Borger. The couple moved to Amarillo in 1985 when Bill retired. He preceded her in death in 1992. Sarah retired after more than 20 years of nursing. She married Raymond Bull on July 21, 1993. He preceded her in death in 2006. Sarah was very family oriented. She was a talented quilter, and enjoyed crochet. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had been a devoted member of South Georgia Baptist Church since 1989, and was active in her Sunday School class there for many years.

In addition to her first and second husbands, Sarah was preceded in death by her sister, Julia Frances Chisum; and two brothers, Billy Howard Chisum and George Harold Chisum.

Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Gillispie and husband David, and Sharon Kay McLaughlin all of Amarillo, and Betty Lou Collins and husband Terry of Fritch; four sisters-in-law, Anita Chisum, Mary Harris, Carol Stewart, and Lela Barra; a brother-in-law, Jimmy Hicks; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family wishes to thank Kindred Hospice, especially Jennifer, Thiese, Julie, Holly, and Dr. Cox for their compassionate care.

The family suggests memorials be made to Snak Pak 4 Kids, 2406 SW 3rd Ave, Amarillo, Texas 79106. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
