Mrs. Annie M. Mullaney Amant, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Springfield, died at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, 1953, in St. Louis. She was 69 years old.

Mrs. Amant was born in Malden, Mass.

She was a resident of Springfield for 20 years. She moved to Chandlerville where she resided for five years until moving to St. Louis ten years ago.

Surviving are a son, Jacob, jr., of St. Louis; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Mathews, of Pomona, Calif.; a brother, C.E. Mullaney, of Springfield; and four grandchildren.

The body arrived in Springfield and was taken to Calvary cemetery where graveside services were held.

The marriage of Anna M. Mullaney, 421 North Ninth street, and Jacob Amant, of Chandlerville, took place June 16, 1919 at the parsonage of the Immaculate Conception church, Rev. Father Hickey officiating.

The attendants were Miss Catherine Mullaney and Walter J. Mullaney.

Jacob Amant, the popular jeweler at Amant Bros. store, surprised his friends by his recent marriage to Miss Anna Mullaney of Springfield, a trained nurse of superior ability, well know here.

The couple have returned from a brief honeymoon visit and are getting comfortably domiciled in there home on South Main street.
