Namie Anthony peacefully returned home to God on December 18, 2017. He was born in Tyler, Texas on November 27, 1932, and was raised in a large, loving Lebanese family where he learned the gift of gab and the importance of family. When young, he served his country in the Army during the Korean War. After the service, he returned to Tyler and met the love of his life to whom he was married for over 53 years, until she passed in 2013. He was blessed to have 4 children that he loved very much as well as 3 grand children that he often bragged about to anyone who would listen. He took to photography at a young age and made a career out of it. He was a long time state photography judge as well as a salesman for the equipment to develop the photos all across the nation, from independent studios to NASA. He loved traveling to see his customers who he considered friends. Many of these relationship still remain to this day. Towards the end of his career and after, he had great joy spending it with his wife, children and grandchildren, as well as his buddies at the senior center. He also spent time helping in his son's business and once in a lifetime travel including a rail trip across the US and Canada as well as a trip to the homeland of Lebanon to meet relatives for the first time. He believed a hug was always the best way to greet someone and never missed a chance to tell those he cared for that he loved them. He leaves behind son Namie (Nean) Bacile II; daughter Elizabeth (Beth) Spivey and her daughter Shannon Shouse; and son Michael Bacile and his wife Suzanne and their children Angela Bacile and Benton Namie Bacile. His sister Adele Johnson and her husband Johnny and many nephews, nieces, and loving in-laws. He will be joining his wife, Chris, son Shawn and his remaining brothers and sisters and parents. Funeral service will take place at Calvary Hill on Tuesday, January 2 at noon.
