BAXTER SPRINGS — Joshua "Josh" Dean Wylie, 21, of rural Baxter Springs was found deceased at his home on Thursday, June 30, 2011.

He was born on Jan. 25, 1990, in Coffeyville to Debra J. Wylie and his adopted father, Terry Neal Wylie. He was raised in Chetopa and attended Chetopa Elementary School. He also attended Galena High School.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Debra and John Hart of rural Welch, Okla.; a brother, Christopher Dorzweiler of Kansas City, Kan.; a sister, Teri Wylie of Chetopa; two half-sisters, Mary Canada of Chetopa and Tina Wylie of Parsons; his maternal grandmother, Linda Ryther of Quenemo; his maternal grandfather, Mike Ryther of Neosho, Mo.; and his paternal grandparents, Pete and Faye Furnas of Parsons.

He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Neal Wylie, on Nov. 18, 2005.

The body has been cremated. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church, Chetopa. Thomas Funeral Home, Welch, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials are suggested to a fund to be used for funeral expenses and can be left at Thomas Funeral Home.
