Elihu and Mary married 28 Apr 1897 in DeGrey/Raber South Dakota. Mary ran a post office.
Found in genealogy binder is a newspaper article on Mary's death.
It reads:
Elihu Shipley received a dispatch Friday night from Mrs. Shipley's oldest son saying that Mrs. Shipley had died at 8 o'clock that morning at his home near Crivitz, Marinette, Wis., Mrs. Shipley had lately had a light stroke of paralysis, the third one since she left Blunt, making four in all, the first one occurring nine years ago. Giving to the cold and stormy weather and the uncertainty of the train service, it was not thought best for Mr. Shipley, Sr., to make the trip to Wisconsin, but his son, J.A. Shipley left Saturday to attend the funeral. (Article had been folded over on the top and all I can make out is 19-, other than that no date) . Lambert L. Reemtsen and his son Kenneth lived in Crivitz 12 Sep 1918 as Ken's WWI registration form shows.
