Born in Lebanon, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Risser Anspach.
Beloved wife of Richard, devoted mother to Cara (Gerry Cavanaugh), and Laura (Scott Coats), My Retta to Brynn, Luc, Will and Samantha.
An elementary education teacher, when her girls were born, she retired to be at home with them. When they were old enough she went back to work in sales at Jane Chalfant in West Chester.
Very active at First Presbyterian of West Chester, she was a deacon at one time, and involved with Grace Circle. Healing Touch therapy was a passion of hers later in life.
An avid tennis and golf player for many years, she also loved spending her summers at the beach in Somers Point, enjoying watching the birds, taking boat rides, and entertaining friends new and old.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church of West Chester, 130 W. Miner Street, West Chester, PA 19382, where the family will receive guests starting at 10 a.m.
