Charles Milton Doty (Chuck) died Friday December 22, 2017, at his home.

Chuck was born in Alberta Canada, he moved to Spokane at 10 years of age in 1932. He attended Bancroft grade school, Havermale Jr. High, and graduated from North Central High School in 1942, where he met and married his sweetheart Mary-Louise Barnes. They married Nov 7, 1942. They were married for 64 years. After their marriage Chuck was drafted into the Army in WWII and spent the next 2 ½ years in the south pacific theater serving in Fiji, Guatemala, Bougainville and Luzon, He was discharged as T/ Sgt. Nov 3, 1945.

Chuck worked in the printing trade owning and operation his own shop (Barnes Printing Company) on W. Broadway, Spokane for 5 years. He then sold the company to Richards Printing Company where he continued to work for 23 years. Traveling with his wife, Chuck continued to work in the print trade in both newspaper and job shops in San Diego, Moscow, Id. Hoquiam, Seattle, and Tacoma. He belonged to Locals 262-363-474 in Seattle before retiring in 1988. He was a charter member of the Craftsman Club, and a member of the Oriental Lodge 76 in Spokane, WA.

He and Mary-Louise enjoyed taking trips after raising their 3 girls. He enjoyed taking care of his home in Spokane. He cared for Mary-Louise until her death Feb. 19, 2007.

Chuck leaves behind his 3 daughters & their husbands: Charline Louise Morris, Pamela (Jim Carlson), and Crystal (Gary Bliss). Grandchildren: Eric Carlson (Krista), Jeremy Bliss, Marie Carlson Alverez & husband (Modesto Alvarez Cervantes), Matthew (Melissa Bliss), and Stacy Carlson. Great Grandchildren: Clover Rukia Alexis Bliss, Isaiah Bliss, MacKenzye Carlson, Gage Steele (Bliss), Raphael and Javier Alvarez-Carlson. He also leaves his 3 sisters: Irene Spidle Aiken Sr., Kay McKay, Lorraine Larson and several nieces and nephews.

Chuck was laid to rest at Fairmount Memorial Park.
