Juanita "Johnnie" Pitts Bolling-Elliott, 93, went home to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord, Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, after a long and grace-filled life. She was born Feb. 7, 1927 in Portland, FL.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 57 years, Leon Tisdale Bolling; her second husband, Alvin Hobson "Nick" Elliott; parents, James "Jim" Pitts of Portland, FL and Elizabeth Hobbs Pitts of Pensacola, FL; brothers, DeVaughn, Adolph, Elzie D. and Leslie C. Pitts; and sisters, O'Neita Pitts Jones, Violeta Pitts Wise and Jewel Pitts Chapman.
Johnnie is survived by daughter, Donna Bolling; step daughters, Sherryle Hardy and Terryle Gibson; brothers, Cecil A. and Harvey J. Pitts; and sisters, Mavis Hensley, Katrina Harrison and Hilda Turner.
Johnnie graduated from Pensacola High School, worked as a bookkeeper with Davis Building Supply and as a realtor in the Pensacola area. She was a volunteer with the Girl Scouts, with her church and senior citizens. She especially enjoyed church, along with fishing, cooking, visiting with the family and friends she so dearly loved. Her friendly, caring ways and smile will be greatly missed. Many thanks to all those who lovingly cared for her in her last years.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sat., Dec. 30, 2017 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with Rev. Earl White officiating. Burial to follow in Barrancas National Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Fri., Dec. 29, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions to Globe International Ministries, Inc, 8590 US-90, Pensacola, FL 32506 would be appreciated.
