John Dubuque, 81, died Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mae Wilson, of route 6, of a heart attack. He had been in ill health for some time. He was born Sept. 6, 1871, in Howard county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Dubuque. He was a retired city employee.

Survivors include a son, Clarence, of route 4 Rochester; four daughters, Mrs. Jennie Anderson, of El Paso, Texas; Mrs. Maggie Welker, of route 1 Burnettsville; Irene Moon, city; and Mrs. Mae Wilson, route 6; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

The body has been taken to the McCloskey-Hamilton funeral home where friends may call. Final rites are pending.
