BLAMBERG, Siegmar F.
Siegmar F. Blamberg, 91, of Sheffield St., Old Saybrook, died Wednesday (June 7, 2000). He was the husband of Wilmina T. (Vollrath) Blamberg. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, on July 6, 1908, son of the late Siegmar F. and Catherine Blamberg and had resided in Old Saybrook since 1970. He received his Bachelor Degree from Temple Univ., with graduate studies completed at Temple Univ., Univ of Pennsylvania and Univ. of Hartford. His many people-focused professions in life included those of Congregational Minister in both Elizabeth and Park Ridge, NJ, and professor of Industrial Administration in the School of Business at UCONN. Besides his wife, Professor Emeritus Blamberg is survived by two sons, Siegmar R. Blamberg and his wife, Sylvia of Old Saybrook, and Jan Eric Blamberg and his wife, Margaret and their son, Sasha of Brooklyn, NY; and his sister, Catherine Ackerman of Pennsylvania. A private graveside service will be held in Cypress Cemetery, Old Saybrook. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Acton Public Library, 60 Old Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook, 06457, or Alzheimers Disease & Related Disorders, 2911 Dixwell Ave., Suite 104, Hamden, 06518, or to the charity of one's choice. The Robinson Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St., Old Saybrook, is in charge of arrangements.
