Mike Brady, Jr., 48, of New Market peacefully departed to his heavenly home Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017. “Junior,” as he was known by his family and close friends, was surrounded by his family.
Visitation is Tuesday, Dec. 26, 5-8 p.m., at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral service is Wednesday, Dec. 27, 11 a.m. at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Bolan officiating. A graveside service will follow at Taylor Cemetery.
Junior loved and was loved by his family beyond measure. He is the husband of Marla Honea Brady, his high school sweetheart and best friend. They dated for five years and enjoyed 26 years of marriage. He is the father of Carly Brady and the late Kyle Brady. He is the son of Linda Brady of Meridianville and the late Mike Brady, Sr. He is the brother of Tracy Brady Cieniewicz and brother-in-law of John Cieniewicz of Huntsville. He is the grandson of the late A.D. and Vivian Brady and the late James and Bertha Coffey. He is the son-in-law of Carl and Lynda Honea of New Market. He is the brother-in-law of Chris and Janie Honea of New Market. He is the uncle of Rilea Honea Howard of New Market and her husband Will, Dallas Honea of New Market and his wife Sarah Jane, and Delaney Cieniewicz of Huntsville. He is the great uncle of Emerson Honea of New Market.
Junior was a member of First Baptist Church of Meridianville and was so thankful for the support of his church family this year. He was a member of the North Alabama Region Antique Automobile Club of America and a MOPAR enthusiast. He was an Alabama football fan and barbecue expert. Junior always made time to visit with family and friends in person and by phone. He loved children, animals, music, and a good fireworks show. Junior was kind, generous, and always had a smile to share.
