Bob L. Crawley, 81, died Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Born September 9, 1936 in Lexington, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Jesse L. and Lucille Sutton Crawley. Mr. Crawley served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Mannheim Germany when the Berlin Wall was erected. He was employed in the Data Processing Dept. at I.B.M, retiring in 1991. Upon retirement, he was employed for Commonwealth Travel Agency and Bluegrass Tours. Mr. Crawley owned and operated Group Tours. He was a member of the Lexington Calvary Church of the Nazarene and served as Secretary of the Board for many years. He was a member of the Committee of 101 and served as President. He served on the Board of Directors for the American Arthritis Foundation and then as Secretary of the Ky. Chapter from 1977-1983 and President of the Ky. Chapter from 1983-1985. He was a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors include a sister, Mildred Louise Crawley; a niece, Tamara M. Smither; great nieces and nephews, Robert B. Smither, Jacqueline T. Smither, and Jonathan M. Smither. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty J. Biggs; and a nephew, James Breck Smither. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Lexington, Kentucky.
