Rebecca "Becky" M. Lucero, age 77, loving, devoted and precious mother, passed away on December 16, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Rebecca was known for her kind, gracious spirit. Rebecca frequently opened her home and heart to family and friends. Our beloved mother’s angelic spirit and beauty radiated from within and touched all who were fortunate to come in contact with her. Her gifts of warmth, generosity and love will be missed by all.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Soledad and Loren Anaya Sr., baby sisters, Loretta and Henrietta, brothers, Leo and Loren Jr. and great-grandson, Joaquin Watje.
Rebecca is survived by her children, Daniel (Judy), Donna, Wanda (Jim) and Matthew Lucero, grandchildren, Monique Martínez, Racquel (Norm) Michel, Andrea (Phillip) Watje, Ivana and Esther Lucero, Soledad, Xavier and Ana-Alycia (Morgan) Quintana and Joshua, Deanna and Diedra Lucero, great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Stephen Martínez, Sophia Michel, Michaela, Rafael, Gabriella and Andrew Watje, Zaria Montoya, Cora and Kinzley Cunnyngham and Valentina Lucero. Rebecca was loved and cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, former in-laws, friends and neighbors.
Honorary pallbearers are her niece and nephews, Myra Anaya, David, Joaquin and Roberto Anaya, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 205 Don Fernando St., Taos, New Mexico.
Interment will follow at a later date. Everyone is invited to join the family at a reception immediately following the services at St. Joseph's Hall located behind Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
