Violet Ruth Wilson, Sr., 78, died Sunday at Caritas Medical Center.

She was the former Violet Ruth Robison and a member of Auburndale Baptist Church.

Survivors: a son, Paul B. Wilson Jr.; daughters Carolyn L. Turner, Shirley J. Dever and Betty Vernon; a sister, Mary E. Cox; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Joseph E. Ratterman & Son South End, 7330 Southside Drive. Burial: Resthaven. Visitation: 2-9 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
