Prominent Resident of Hendricks Township Passed Away at Noon

Monday

John Richey, aged sixty-eight years, eleven months and twenty days died this morning at his home in Marietta. Death was cuased by a complication of diseases and followed an illness of four months.

Mr. Richey was born in Kentucky. He moved to this county with his parents when two years old and has spent all of his life since then near Marietta. He owned a blacksmith shop in that village. He was a member of the Marietta M.P. church. Besides his wife he is survived by two duaghters, Mrs. George Beard, of this city, and Mrs. Melvin Ricketts, of Marietta; one son, Daniel Richey, of Marietta, two sisters and two brothers. The funeral arrangements will b e announced later by Hendrickson & Sleeth.

The funeral services for the late John Richey will be held on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the late home in Marietta. Hendricks township the Rev. J.C.Ricketts officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in charge of Hendrickson & Sleeth. Shelbyville Republican 2 April 1914
