RICHMOND, Ind. Doris Ann Albano, age 84, of Richmond, Indiana, died Monday, December 18, 2017, at Ambassador Healthcare.
Born September 15, 1933, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Edward and Ethel Garrett Prather, Doris lived in this community most of her life. She was a 1951 graduate of Richmond High School. Doris worked at Holy Family Catholic School and Richmond High School and later served as a realtor at Otto Realty, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Doris enjoyed painting and antiques.
Survivors include her son, Randy (Carol) Albano of Anderson, Indiana; grandchildren, Danielle, Tyler, and McKenzie, all of Anderson; great-grandson, Adrian Albano of Anderson; sisters, Shirley Charles of Centerville, Indiana, Judy (Don) Applegate of Florida, and Jana (John) Donner and Jill (Elliott) Bryant, both of Fairfield, Ohio; brother, Steve Prather of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister-in-law, Becky Prather of Hamilton, Ohio; 11 nieces and nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Albano, who died in 1991; parents; sister, Sharon Kay Prather; brother, Jerry Prather; and brother-in-law, Jack Charles.
Visitation for Doris Ann Albano will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Doan and Mills Funeral Home with Deacon Frank Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
