Clarence was born November 26, 1926 to Caroline (Weisbeck) and Mathais Burgad in Eureka, SD. He served in the US Navy from 1946-1948. He married Loretta Kelsch, June 6, 1949 in Linton, ND. He farmed in the Linton area until 1975 and then worked as a carpenter until he retired in 2000.
He loved farming and raising cattle. He liked to go to the salesbarn. He enjoyed going on road trips and looking at the North Dakota scenery. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta; daughters: Toni (Dan) Weber, Linton,and Thecla (Jerome) Ohlhauser, Baldwin; sons: Terry & Tim (Alice), all of Bismarck, and Tyrone (Crystal), Mandan; his brother: Math (Donna), sisters: Helen Duppong and Marion (Bob) Woods; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Michael & Magdalene Burgad; his parents, Mathais & Caroline; brother Fran; and a great-granddaughter, Brynn Evenson.
