Bill was born May 16, 1926 in Quitman, Louisiana to James Benjamin and Elvie Lee (Nunn) Ware. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1950 and served in the Navy Air Corp in WWII as a Master of Arms.
On August 2, 1965, he married Mary Jane Hubbard. Bill was employed as a drilling superintendent for Gary Drilling Company until he retired in 1985.
He was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church and had interest in reading, bible study, music collecting, computers, and a love of fishing.
Bill is survived by his wife Mary Jane Ware, three sons, Roy William "Billy" Ware and his wife Debbie, Perry L. Ware, and Garry Ware, and two step-daughters Sherry Gibson, and Brenda Waidelich and her husband Mike, all of Bakersfield Ca., three grandchildren, Marla Johnson, Brooke Duenas and April Ruppel, his brother James Ware of Lockport, Illinois and his sister Linda Beasley of Louisiana.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 3001 Stine Road, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 6:00 pm. Pastor Rick Prevost will be officiating.
Graveside burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, CA 93203.
