Harold Strunk, age 88, of Huntsville, Tennessee, departed this life on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

He was born September 18, 1929, in the Huntsville Community, to the late Shelby Strunk and Ada Pearl Coffey Strunk. He was a Member of the White Rock Baptist Church.

Harold was a Veteran of Korean War, having served in the U. S. Army on the Island of Okinawa. He is a Retired Lieutenant with the Tennessee Highway Patrol after 31 years of service. His Law enforcement experience includes: 2 years with the Military Police, 31 years with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 4 years as Chief Deputy with the Anderson County Sheriffs Office.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years, Ivalene Byrge Strunk; brother, Howard Strunk; sister, Ruby Solomon Strunk; (4) half-brothers, (6) half-sisters; brother-in-law, and best friend, Dub Blakley.

He is survived by his wife of 18 ½ years, Ida B. Jeffers Strunk; son, Larry D. Strunk and wife Tammy of Knoxville, Tennessee; stepson, Gary Jeffers and wife Cheryl; (2) step-daughters, Donna Boshears and husband Danny, Debbie Boshears and husband Dennis all of the Fairview Community; (9) step grandchildren; (14) step great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kathleen West of Huntsville, Tennessee; several nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 P.M., until time of funeral service at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday Evening, December 20, 2017, in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville with Bro. Jim West and Bro. Jeff Davis officiating. Music will be provided by the Brimstone Boys. Grave side services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday Morning, December 21, 2017, at the Fairview Cemetery with full Honors from the Tennessee Highway Patrol with Honor Guard.

Funeral procession line up will be at 9:00 A.M., Thursday Morning, December 21, 2017 in the funeral home parking lot.
