GARTEE, Kevin Garth - Of Thetford Township, age 46, died Saturday, October 27, 2007 at University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Entombment will be at New Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Gartee will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint Township, where friends may call 10AM until the time of service Thursday. Kevin was born in Flint, February 21, 1961. He was a 1980 graduate of Hamady High School. He had worked as a cook for nearly 30 years, the last 22 at Clio Big Boy. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and son. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, and playing pool, but most of all he loved spending time with his kids and grandson. Surviving are: son, Jeffrey of Kalamazoo; daughter, Laura of Mt. Morris; grandson, Riley; father, Dennis of Lake City, Michigan; brothers, Ricky of Burton and Michael (Patiricia) of Flint; 6 nieces; 1 nephew. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother, Linda Gartee.
