Sarah Mildred Melvin, age 83, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017. She was a faithful servant of God. She loved to sing and travel, but has to travel no more because she has reached her heavenly home.
Mrs. Melvin is survived by a host of nieces and nephews; and her step granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Doug Melvin; her parents, James and Johnie Handley; eight siblings, and step-daughter, Donna Jowers.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Melvin were Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Lemley Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with burial following at Hood Cemetery.
