Elizabeth Jane Brown was born February 3, 1921, to John and Maud Brown of Centerville. She was the eldest of two daughters and always went by the name of Betty. On December 11, 1953 she married Don James Fishburn and together they had five children.

Mom died peacefully in her home on December 13, 2017 at the age of 96 after a lifetime full of adventures. She loved to travel and between raising a family and work, found the time to travel the world with her loving husband.

She was also well known for her love of gardening. Dressed in her Japanese gardener outfit, she spent decades pulling weeds and planting cannas and other flowers in full view of the neighborhood.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Don; and their daughter, Charlotte.
